Fractured Elbow and Sprained Arm

I had such a fabulous time last weekend in Monterey, Carmel, and San Francisco California until the last night when I sadly (not to mention) lamely fractured my elbow, sprained my arm, and went into shock. Seriously though, I don't really even know what happened other than we were leaving fisherman's wharf and heading back to our car when I tripped on the edge of a torn up one foot plus storm drain curb and face planted into the asphalt. It happened so fast. One scary thing I do recall was thinking, "I'm going to crack my head open when I hit..." before plunging into the hard asphalt. Thankfully and miraculously this did not happen! I'm very lucky and blessed that such a hard fall didn't shatter my elbow, my arm, or my noggin. This happened the last night of our trip-Go BIG and then go home right?! For the record, I'm not clumsy at all, however, I am a bull in a china closet. Any who, this is so lame! Thankfully, since I'm an adult my doctor won't cast me because I'd lose mobility. Thus, I've got my sexy gray sling. Isn't it a fancy accessory? It brings out the color in my eyes and makes my chest look bigger.............moral of the story, WATCH OUT FOR BROKEN CURB STORM DRAINS AT FISHERMAN'S WHARF BECAUSE THEY'RE SURE TO GET YA!!!!! Side note: hurt like a buggar!!!

I'm sorry, I hope it feels better soon. I'm glad they didn't cast you because that would totally suck. At least it happened at the end of your trip instead of the beginning. When I went to Hawaii like 9 years ago we got in a car accident our first day on Maui (we went to Oahu first) so I had a black eye the whole time :( I had to try and cover it up with makeup and it didn't work so well.

Cori! You have had it rough the past couple of months! Holy cow. I'm glad it was the last day of your trip at least, so you could enjoy California. Poor thing! Here's to fast healing . . .

Oh the luck you have! We wish we could've been there... not to see you fall, although I'm sure it was pretty incredible!

It's amazing what a fall can do! My little spill two years ago while running left me with a dislocated shoulder and a fat belly. Take care of that arm and make Travis do everything for you.

What happened to the rock hard Corbo that I played soccer with? That is too bad that your vacation had to end like that but at least it was at the end and not the beginning!:) Hope you get feeling better and give us a holler when you visit Salt Lake. We should do lunch sometime with the old carpool crowd!

I told Cam what happened and he said we should buy you a giant suit made of bubble wrap. It's really not a bad idea. Hope you have a great 4th. :) Miss you!

Hi Corbo-nizer,
Even though you did call me a 300 pound porker, I got a heart and that's why I'm wishing you well. I'm sorry that happened to you and all the best with the little wiggler. Boy or girl? I had a girl who is now a 200 pound 16 year old porker. That's life, we weren't all born like you..try my blog and tell your friends at http://rockbandhistoryfan.blogspot.com and maybe learn about some good 'ol rock and roll. Cheers.
