Our Little Ear of Corn!

us with our niece Shae-practice parenting

23 weeks
Yeah, our little wiggler GIRL is getting bigger by the week. She is definitely getting stronger, as I feel her kicking me harder week by week. I'm really loving pregnancy. It's such a blessing to have this little girl growing inside of me. She is now the size of an ear of corn. I love feeling her kicks and movement, however at 2 a.m. when she wakes me up...........Any how, here are some updated pics of me bells. If you have any insight, suggestions or recommendations for any baby rubbish-PLEASE share!!! We registered over Christmas and WOW, that was a touch overwhelming. Babies require a lot as we are learning. C'est la vie-we are enjoying this journey and are so excited to have this little girl come May.

I had such a love/hate with that middle of the night dancing in the belly! Good- luck getting sleep while you can!

I totally recommend you read Baby Wise and The Baby Whisperer before 'Ear of Corn' arrives. Combining the techniques from these two books saved my life shortly after Abby was born. I really wish I would have read them and been more prepared before she got here.

Also, I got a motion sensor monitor. It beeped if there was no movement in the crib. It helped me sleep easier so I wouldn't worry as much about SIDS and was sensitive enough to pick up a newborn's breathing.

All I can say is that you're going to have one hell of a handfull with your baby girl considering the Bowen genetics....as for advice, Mountain Dew probably isn't a good supplement for children under the age of 1 (this has really happened).

You'll be great!

Oh if I could only have a tiny, little butt like that whilst I am pregnant! You look great! I can't believe there is an ear of corn in there! Congrats on the GIRL!

I second that comment about Baby Wise. It really gives a first-time parent a terrific point of reference when you don't know what you're doing! The Sleep Lady book is also great. Remember to take everything you read with a grain of salt -- it will be different than anything you are currently able to imagine. As far as gear goes, you won't know what you need until she's here. Frustrating, I know.
