I have wanted this technological miracle for quite some time now. Yes I've dreamed about having it, but no I haven't wanted to pay for it. Any how, now that I am a fitness instrucor at the TTU rec. center I guess I can justify spending money on this little slice of heaven (even though Trav keeps telling me just to get it and no justification is necessary). I guess I'm just a cheap wad and don't want to fork out the dough. Any how, what do you think---- thoughts, comments and opinions are ALL WELCOME and MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

I say yes! We totally want to get one, as well. But I am the same way about spending the extra money. We don't want a ton of TV, but the shows we do watch are on the same night & when I teach. We're still horse and buggy with recording w/the VCR. ha.
*watch (not want)
MOST CERTAINLY YES!!! Take warning, however- once you go DVR, not only can you not go back, but it drives you INSANE TO GO BACK!!! Ahhh the beauty of pause and fast forward... oh and record, naturally. NEVER will I miss an episode of Office ever again!!!! ;) GET ONE!!
If you're living on a lean budget as a law student, I say you can live without. Dan and I don't even have TV and we manage just fine.
For sure get one, we love ours but like Kara said you could never go back, it is an obsession!!! I have so many shows I record now, so basically I am a tv freak.
I say get it! I've been trying to talk Brandon into getting it again ever since we moved and stopped our cable/ DVR. It's so great to record things and watch them on your own time, pause or rewind live t.v. when interupted, and SKIP COMMERCIALS!!!brookefbowen
Do you really need some encouragement? Mark and I had one when we were first married, then due to moving we abandoned the service. We have suffered ever since. I miss all my favorite shows and feel like I don’t know whats happening in the world. Get one.
I've gone back and forth about this same issue. We don't have one, but my parents had one back when I was at home, so I know what I'm missing. Here's my conclusion: I watch enough T.V. with our measly six channels - I can only imagine the time I would waste with a DVR. I would never go to sleep because I'd be up watching all the shows I recorded. That is only my opinion - you do whatever you want!
May I be the voice of reason Corbo.....don't get sucked in...high tech or not, we waste too much of our lives (and money) decaying in front of the television !!! Break the cycle!

Ummm...I don't know what that is...can I still be in the cool club or did I just lose any chance at membership? Is that a Digital Video Recorder? Is that like DVDs? Help a techno-twit out here.
Tay and I have been having the same debate! It's hard to justify spending extra money like that when you're in law school. But it would be nice! I'm no help to you but let me know when you decide . . . maybe you can help me!
Are you kidding? We've had this conversation. I can't believe you've lasted this long with out it. I like to think of it more as saving time than costing money. Think of all the time you'll save fast forwarding through useless commercials. That time can be spent doing more productive things like water aerobics or making deliciously healthy dinners. See - it's an investment that will save you time and it's worth every penny!
thanks for the bday wish ;) luv ya
Yea for being blog friends! What a cute blog you have. Love the side bar slideshow!
